What are the benefits/drawbacks of running everyday?
Perhaps the biggest drawback is that almost a majority of runners (30-60%) get injured every year. Running is a positive addiction because of the benefits. (clear mind, body, lungs, heart, sense of well being, etc.) But if you get injured, you could feel like you lose some of these benefits. So if you are going to run everyday, you need to take very strong precaution against any sign of injury. If you run everyday, you could abuse your addiction and then it becomes very easy to run through the pain and make an injury worse, like me and shin splints for example. More often than not this could lead you to the point where you could sideline yourself for a several months, or more.
