Oil tanker on the devon coast?

Has Britain really became such a dishonest and moraless country that the people in it have stooped to the level of looting, such as what has happened in places such as Iraq? I found the scenes of people stealing the stuff washed up on the shore absolutely disgusting, these people are no more than common thieves, 2 or 3 decades back, people would not have dreamt of doing any such thing. Some one has even had the br neck to steal a Motorbike from the ship. It's a disgrace!
