Does anyone know much about the book Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad?

I have to read the book, and I'm not completely sure what the book is about. I haven't started reading it, and I like knowing a little about books before I read them. There isn't one of those little excerpts on the back of the book or inside the cover. I promise I'm not cheating or anything.
