Are holland lop rabbits healthy and like to be with people and handled?

I loved my holland lop. He lived inside. I got him when he was a baby and he was handled quite frequently. It's very important to handle them when they are young so they get used to it. I would pick up my rabbit and hold him in my arms like a baby. At first he would fight it, but then he got so used to it that I could hold him like that until he died. He lived a long time too; 8 and 1/2 years. RIP Peter!
