4 month old wants to be held all the time?

My baby is 4 months old. My problem is he wants to be held constantly. I've tried getting one of those baby wraps and he hates it and and screams to get out. He has a swing, a bouncer, a jumperoo, gyms and all kinds of stuff and won't sit in any of it for more than 5 minutes. He won't do tummy time at all, I try to lay on the floor with him to play and he screams until picked up. When he takes naps during the day as soon as i try to lay him down he wakes up right away and screams. He does the same thing at night so I just lay him in bed with me. I don't get to eat at all anymore because when I try to cook or eat something quick he screams. My husband works 12 hour shifts 7 days a week and i'm all alone at home most of the time and I can't take it anymore. I love my baby more than anything and love holding him, but i'm only one person and can't hold him 24 hours out of the day. He won't even sit down alone long enough for me to use the bathroom. What should I do? I've always been against letting him "cry it out" but now i'm not sure what to do anymore
